Hello Parents!
I am so happy that you have taken the time to visit your child's Curriculum Web. We are about to embark on this journey together to discover, explore and learn through artwork. This curriculum web is meant to help your child understand World War I, World War II, The Korean War and The Vietnam War, through the lens of art. Within this lesson there are a variety of types of art for your child to explore. It strongly encouraged you to work with with your child on this Curriculum Web. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, it is important for parents and children to work together on school studies, especially when dealing with history, so that there is an additional perspective to help students and provide them with feedback. Secondly, some of the material, although appropriate, can be dense and heavy. If approached together, discussing throughout, it may be easier for your child to understand the topics being presented. Remember, the more you encourage them, engage them in discussion and help them study, the better they will do. On the opposite side you will see a section to contact me. Please feel free to do so at anytime and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. I have also provided some books that might be useful to supplement your child's learning, as well as some websites that are excellent resources for this unit. If you would like to view the grading rubrics which your child will be graded with, please click on the button below. Good luck, have fun and enjoy learning together! |
